Our freezers are all made up of the following components:
- MAIN FRAME
- The main frame is built with 304 stainless steel to support the conveyor belt. Stainless steel rails are covered with a UHMW polyethylene wear strip for many years of smooth and maintenance-free operation.
- COIL
- Coils are designed and built according to the project’s requirements. The coil can be made from stainless steel, aluminum or galvanized steel, depending on the application or the customer’s preferences. The fin spacing, which varies with the depth of the coil, is wider at the air inlet than at the air discharge. This design ensures an even frost build up on the coil without restricting the airflow, thus maintaining maximum performance of the freezer and prolonging operation time between defrosts. The coil can be defrosted by water, steam, or both.
- FAN CHAMBER
- The fan chamber is designed for maximum airflow with easy cleaning and maintenance. Aluminum high performance fans are driven by high efficiency motors to provide the airflow. Fans are selected specifically for each application in order to optimize air velocities and heat removal. The fan type, size, number, and placement depend on what is most suitable to freeze the products while taking in consideration the plant’s operating conditions, efficiency, and profitability.
- CONVEYOR BELT
- The belt transfers products from infeed to discharge of the freezer. The belt can be constructed of 304 stainless steel or plastic .
- DRIVE SYSTEM
- There are two drives used for a spiral freezer: the main drive and the auxiliary drive.
The main drive provides all the drive force required for moving the belt around the cage and through the system. The auxiliary drive is basically a tensioning device and governs the transmission of drive force between the cage and the belt.
- ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL
- The control panel is PLC controlled and is used to control the operation of entire system. The control panel box is made of 304 stainless steel and is mounted outside of the freezer enclosure.
- ENCLOSURE
- The enclosure is made of heavy gauge stainless steel sheet metal. All panels are well sealed and flashed. The stainless steel floor panels are seal welded together. Large stainless steel access doors are located at appropriate locations to enable easy cleaning and maintenance
- SAFETY DEVICES
- Include Take-up sensors, Belt flip sensors, Emergency stop switch, Product height sensor
- MODULAR DESIGN
- Our freezers are fully assembled at the factory for testing and then disassembled in sections for shipping purposes. The freezers can be easily reassembled at the installation site.
